5 Must Visit Maui Attractions

Thinking of going to Maui Hawaii?  It’s such a popular destination because there are so many things to see. Here are some possibilities.

Maui1 – Molokini Island

This crescent shaped island is a little past the southern coast of Maui.  In addition to getting there via a very nice boat trip, you will find some great snorkeling and scuba diving there, and private as well as group tours are available to Molokini.

2 – Iao Valley State Park

This beautiful historical land is located in central Maui.  The main attraction here is the Iao Needle at the Iao Valley State Park. A visit to this state park is great for those who love hiking and want to learn about the history or Maui.

3 – The Banyan Tree

This Tree is one largest of its type in the whole U.S., and is located in Lahaina. Is this tree really the size of an average city block? – That’s what the Official Hawaii Tourism Site says! And this is definitely a great place to take children, as it’s a sight they are not likely to ever forget.

4 – Haleakala National Park

Found on the eastern side of Maui,  Haleakala National Park is home to the world’s biggest dormant volcano.  The Haleakala National Park, like many other parks in Hawaii, can be explored by bike, car or foot.  And you can also see some tropical landscaping with rare plants and flowers , as well as gorgeous waterfalls and streams. Previous tourists recommend hiking to watch the sunrise at the Haleakala Crater.


5 – The Hana Highway

Also found on the eastern edge of Maui is the Hana Highway.  Even thoug a highway itself may not seem like a must see tourist attraction it is. One of the most scenic places to visit in all of Hawaii. Passing through narrow, beautiful bridges, amazing waterfalls, breathtaking ocean views, as well as amazing foliage, – what you will see there will literally amaze you. Driving along this scenic highway is reason enough alone for renting a car.
